DIABLO's 'Icaros' Enters Finnish Chart At No. 2
May 22, 2008"Icaros", the fifth album from Finnish metallers DIABLO, has entered the national chart in the band's home country at position No. 2.
"Icaros" was released on May 14 via Sakara Records, the label founded by the Finnish metal band MOKOMA. The CD was recorded Fantom studio in Tampere.
Formed in 1990, DIABLO's current lineup consists of singer/guitarist Rainer Nygrd, guitarist Marko Utriainen, bassist Aadolf Virtanen and drummer Heikki Malmberg. The band's last album, "Mimic47", was released in January 2006 and went straight to No. 1 on the Finnish national chart.
The members of MOKOMA started Sakara Records in 2003 to release their own music after they were dropped by a multinational record company. Since then, STAM1NA, RYTMIHIRI, BLACK BILE and now DIABLO have all joined the Sakara artist roster.
